Definitions
Lesson: a 50-minute tuition session.
Billing period: a month when tuition is taking place e.g. June.
Your choice
To begin tuition with Atom Learning Tuition, parents/guardians can choose to purchase either a subscription or a bulk booking.
Subscriptions
- You purchase a fixed number of lessons per billing period.
- Each subscription has a pre-agreed subscription length; the length of the subscription determines the price per lesson.
- All lessons must be used within the billing period. Unused lessons cannot be carried over into the subsequent billing period.
- At the beginning of your tuition journey, you will be billed for the relevant number of lessons for the remainder of the month.
- After that, you will be billed at the beginning of each month to credit your account with lessons for that month.
- You can purchase additional lessons within a billing period on top of your monthly subscription. Payment for the additional lesson(s) will be taken at the beginning of the next month.
Bulk lesson purchases
- You purchase a fixed number of lessons upfront.
- The total number of lessons purchased will determine the per lesson price.
- For bulk lesson purchases only, there is no time limit by when you must have used the lessons.
Terminating this Agreement & refunds (Subscriptions)
- If you are not happy with the first lesson with a new tutor you can request a refund or a change of tutor.
- At the end of the agreed subscription term, you can cancel the subscription by providing at least 14 days’ notice before the end of your subscription term.
- If you would like to cancel your subscription during the subscription term, you must allow Atom at least one opportunity to source a replacement tutor who can facilitate your requirements. You must also provide at least 14 days’ notice before the next payment is due to be taken (on or around the 1st working day of each new month). Any unused lessons for the billing period will not be refunded.
Terminating this Agreement & refunds (Bulk booking purchases)
- If you are not happy with tuition in the first 14 days after tuition commences with a new tutor, you can request a refund for the full amount paid minus any lessons that have already taken place. Alternatively, you can request a change of tutor.
- After 14 days, you can only terminate this contract if you have completed the following steps:
- You have informed us that you are dissatisfied with the quality of the tuition services rendered by your tutor.
- You have given us the opportunity to provide you with at least one other tutor.
- You have informed us that you are dissatisfied with the second tutor with whom you have been provided.
- We have confirmed in writing that you have completed the requisite steps to satisfy an early termination of the contract.
Renewals
- To ensure that you don’t experience any interruption in tuition services and the learning process, where you are on a subscription, your subscription will automatically renew for additional periods of the same duration, unless you cancel your subscription according to the guidelines below.
- You will be notified via email 30 days before the end date of your existing subscription. If you don’t want to continue tuition beyond the term of your existing subscription, you must provide written notice to your client manager at least 14 days before the end date of your current existing subscription.
Rescheduling a lesson
- To reschedule a lesson, you must give your Client Manager, and the tutor, written notice at least 24 hours before the lesson is agreed to take place; otherwise, a lesson credit will be used and transferred to the tutor, meaning, you will be charged the full amount for the scheduled lesson.
