After your child finishes a paper test, take photos of their answer sheets and upload them to Atom Home. We'll scan and read your child's answers using the same technology used to mark real exam papers, so you can get a full report of your child's performance instantly.
Taking photos of your child’s answer sheets
After your child has finished their paper test, the next step is to take photos of their answer sheets. To scan and process your child’s answers successfully:
- Take one photo per page.
- Lay the answer sheet on a flat surface.
- Make sure all answers have been marked clearly.
- Ensure all parts of the answer sheet are clearly visible and well-lit.
- Use flash if necessary to avoid shadows.
You can upload the photos in any order you like.
How do I submit my child's answers?
You can access the tool to submit your child’s answers in several ways:
QR code
Scan the QR code on your child’s answer sheet.
Learn page
- Log in to Atom Home. Go to your Learn page.
- Your child’s paper test will appear in their to-do list. Click on it to add their answers.
Test page
- Log in to Atom Home. Go to your Test page.
- Select the name of the paper test your child completed.
- Click add answers.
How do I upload photos of my child’s answer sheets?
After you’ve taken photos of your child’s answer sheets:
- Click continue with photo upload.
- Click add photos.
- Once your photos have been uploaded successfully, click continue.
- After we’ve scanned your child’s answers, you’ll be taken to a page where you can review them.
- If your child completed their paper test in timed conditions, add their timings into the time taken field. The time taken field uses an HH:MM:SS time format (representing hours, minutes and seconds).
- When you’re ready, click submit.
If we can’t scan and process your child’s answers from one of the photos you’ve provided, you’ll be prompted to upload a new photo.
If we can’t scan and process some of your child’s answers, you’ll be prompted to review them to ensure they’ve been added correctly.
How do I add my child's answers manually?
To add your child's answers to Atom Home manually:
- Select add answers manually.
- Keyboard shortcuts are available. You can select each answer, or use A-E or 1-5 to submit your child’s answers. Use S or 0 for any skipped questions.
- If your child completed their paper test in timed conditions, add their timings into the time taken field. The time taken field uses a HH:MM:SS time format (representing hours, minutes and seconds).
Before submitting your results, make sure the question numbers and answers match. If any questions were marked as skipped, you’ll be prompted to review them and make any adjustments.
Understanding your child’s results
