Atom Tuition combines 1-1 expert tutoring with unlimited access to our learning platform, Atom Home. Our team will match your child to the perfect tutor, based on their unique learning preferences and goals. Atom tutors are DBS-checked and have subject, school and test expertise.
Whether you need help preparing for 11+ entrance exams or want support in English, maths or science, Atom Tuition is here to help. Our tutors also have experience getting students into schools such as Hampton, Eton and Wellington.
How can a tutor support my child?
Curriculum Consolidation
As your child prepares for their exam, they will be working through the curriculum to build their subject and topic mastery. As they complete questions, there will be reoccurring topics that your child is finding challenging. This could be an indicator that there are some topics or question styles that your child may need further support in. An Atom Tutor will be able to support your child with bridging any gaps in their learning by identifying how your child learns best. They can adapt the way they teach these concepts to help your child understand.
Confidence
Preparing for an entrance exam can be challenging and some children may need extra help and support to build confidence ahead of exam day. If your child is feeling worried about their exam, Atom Tutors can support them through encouragement.
Exam Technique
Building a strong exam technique is as important as acquiring a secure subject and topic mastery ahead of your child's exam. If your child is finishing mock tests very early, this can suggest they are rushing through their questions and not reading the information properly. This can be detrimental, particularly for adaptive tests. Alternatively, you may notice that your child is answering questions slowly. This can indicate they are struggling to understand what the question is asking them to do, or they haven't grasped the topic. An Atom Tutor can support your child to break down the questions, go back over tricky topics and help them manage their time better ahead of exam day.
How can I track my child's progress with their tutor?
As well as regular feedback from your tutor, you can track your child’s progress through your parent dashboard. Here you can view any homework they have set. You’ll have access to dedicated meetings with your client manager, to ask any questions you may have about your child’s learning.
