Do I need to move my child's year group up for them to see harder questions?

We don’t recommend changing your child’s year group on Atom Home.

The platform adapts to their progress, regardless of their year group. This means the questions they see are based on the work they’ve completed so far. Atom’s adaptive algorithm ensures they’re always stretched and challenged at the right level.

Once your child has mastered most of the curriculum, Atom automatically introduces harder questions. For topics they find more difficult, the platform increases the challenge gradually. This helps your child build confidence before moving on. As a result, they continue to make progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Atom will automatically update your child’s year group at the end of the summer holiday, in line with the new school year. So there’s no need to adjust it yourself!
