How can Atom Home support with SEND?
Read aloud option
For a child with Dyslexia or SEN, a read-aloud option can be very helpful for their learning.
If you are using a Windows computer, you can use the system’s built-in software. Please go to Settings and then select ‘Ease of Access’.
If you are using a Mac computer, please see the video below for how to access this using Mac's built-in software.
Colour overlay
Changing the colour settings has been shown to help some dyslexic students with their learning ability. For example, viewing text through blue or yellow coloured filters rather than just white.
If you are using a Windows computer, you can use the system’s built-in software. Please go to Settings, then Accessibility and select Color Filters.
