How is the Tutor Portal Free?
The tutor portal works in tandem with already existing student accounts on Atom. All students on Atom Home need a subscription to access their learning resources. These are paid for and managed by their parents or guardians on each account. As such, the tutor does not need to pay for a subscription to use the service, though the children using the platform will need to have a subscription.
Managing all your Students from One Place
The tutor portal works by linking a tutor account to the accounts of all of the children they tutor, each with their own Atom Home subscription. Tutors can view all of their students from their tutor dashboard. They can view and analyse each student’s performance, and set activities to aid in their individualised learning pathways. All the work is organised and kept separate, so there is no risk of mixing data or confusing students.
No Marking Necessary - Immediate Results
The tutor portal cuts out the tedious task of marking, freeing up tutors’ time to do what they do best: teach. Tutors can set mock tests (for users with Exam Preparation subscriptions) and custom practice activities for each child on the platform. They receive immediate marks and feedback on the activities completed. They can access all of these from a student’s scorecard area of the platform, which is complete with full-length transcripts and individualised metrics used to gauge performance.
Tutors can use these valuable data points to inform how they approach a topic with their students. They will receive honest and accurate feedback on areas that students might need improvement in. It also makes sure that tutors are not dwelling on areas that students are excelling in.
Keep Parents up-to-date
Parents and guardians have access to their child’s learning on the platform, including work set by tutors. As soon as an activity is completed on the platform, parents and tutors alike will be able to access the results. There’s no skewing the data; the same results are available to both parties.
